Class for Children Age 4 –7
Yoga, Music, and Me class is a program for young children, ages 4 through 7. It is a great combination of basic yoga principles of breathing, posture, and warm-up techniques as well as vocal expression and singing. In the class, children will learn fun yoga poses with animal names that are easily remembered such as cat, dog, mouse, and lion. Combined with a soft relaxation exercise, children will begin to notice their breathing and will feel freer and more open. While in yoga poses, the group will make sounds and sing notes, playing with pitch, volume, and rhythm. This mixes it up, changes perspective, and allows the group to sing with more resonance and freedom! Benefits of the class include increased confidence, better focus, and more awareness of body movement and vocal production.
Class size: 5 children maximum Class duration: 45 minutes (30 minutes with 2 children in a class)
Class price: $15 per class (monthly tuition due on the first class of the month) There are no refunds or credits for missed or canceled classes.
Schedule: Upon request on Wednesdays. We will schedule a class if you bring 2-5 children. Parents’ attendance is not required for the class.
